September Stamp of the Month: Treasures

Welcome to my blog hop contribution! Thanks for stopping by! I LOVE this stamp set! In the sample above, I used it to start out an album about my amazing summer. This is a work in progress. Check back to see what develops! The supplies I used for this project include:
NEW All Sorts Album
Fancy Cuts Botanicals
NEW Organics buttons
Creme Brulee ink pad
Tulip ink pad
Summer Sweetness Stamp Set
Free Spirit Stamp Set
NEW Treasures Stamp set (Stamp of the Month)

I also used it to create the card for the September Church workshop, which is scheduled for Thursday, September 17. I'd love for you to join us. It's a free class! We just ask that you donate 4 of the 6 cards we make to the church. If you are interested, email me so that I could email you a list of needed supplies to bring. Believe it or not, the only paper I used was Colonial White cardstock to create this card! Ink colors include: Sunflower, Chocolate, and Grey Wool.

Now hop on over to Nancy's blog to keep your creative juices flowing! If the link does not work, or if you get lost as you hop along, refer to the previous post for a list of all the participants of this month's blog hop. Enjoy the journey!

Correction--New Catty

In my previous post, I mentioned the pop-up candy holder was made last week. But my open house is actually scheduled for tomorrow, August 31. Oops!

New CTMH catty

I am so excited about the new CTMH catalog! Here are some cards I have made using new products, including new paper packs, new embellishments (such as glitter rub-ons and brads, felt accessories self-adhesive pearls, etc.) Enjoy!

And here is a picture of the candy pop holder we made at my open house last Monday. (Special thanks to Tresa Black for sharing a tutorial on how to make these adorable gifts!)

Summer of weddings

This has been my summer of weddings! I've had 2 down, and 1 still left to go. Last week I posted the pictures of the gift I made for my friend, who got married in May. This week I finished my cousin's gift, who got married in May (I know--I'm running a little late!). Any time I have to give a gift, my first thought is "what can I make them?" When I make it, it is truly a gift from my heart.

Let me know what you think of this project. I hope the bride and groom love it!

Supplies used:
9x9 My Creations Memory Showcase
Sanding kit
Edge distressor
Key Lime Cardstock
Clover Meadow Cardstock
Vanilla Cream Cardstock
Colonial White Cardstock
Vanilla Cream ink pad
Retired stamp set
Rafia

One project down, a million to go!

I have been through many craft phases. But out of the crocheting, knitting, and cross-stitching, papercrafting has been the longest phase (8-9 years). I just get a kick out of feeling like I have completed a projects--it is a huge sense of accomplishment. And I get that sense of accomplishment alot quicker with papercrafting. Instead of spending weeks finishing a crocheted quilt or knitted sweater, I could whip up a card in a few minutes to hours. Even big projects such as albums, I find a sense of accomplishment after completing each layout. But the true rush is when I close up the album. And here I am now--excited to have finished my friend's album. You have witnessed my journey with this project. I'm very pleased with the way it turned out. I can't wait to see how the happy couple likes it. What do you think?

About Me

My photo
The most important things in my life are relationships. I value every title I own--daughter, sister, wife, aunt, friend. I feel so blessed to be able to add another title to my relationship collection--mom. I can't wait to meet my baby girls!
